T.A.I.L.S. Rescue - Taking Action in Love of Strays
T.A.I.L.S. Rescue is a foster-based, Missouri Department of Agriculture licensed, 501c(3) non-profit (pending) rescue organization. We specifically target our efforts on assisting animals out of local municipal shelters and provide them with opportunities to find loving, forever homes.
As an organization, we strive to provide excellent customer service, fun volunteer opportunities, and above all else, fantastic companion pets. Our adoptable pets have been given individual attention to ensure they are able to make the transition into a new home with success and minimal stress.
Our purpose and goals extend beyond being just a rescue organization. We intend to have a greater purpose in the community, addressing and educating the public on issues such as overpopulation and the need to spay and neuter, the importance and cost of veterinary care, behavioral issues, training your companion animal, and educational and social awareness of specific breeds targeted by breed-specific legislation.
Further, we hope to provide assistance to other organizations, groups, and shelters when we are able, establish a camaraderie, and develop a mutual understanding of the scope of the issues that the aforementioned groups face within the Kansas City area.
While we are not a bully breed rescue, T.A.I.L.S. Rescue does have an emphasis on pit bull rescue. Our love and adoration for this misunderstood breed fuels our desire to educate the community about these animals and about breed-specific legislation.
